UNDERWOOD The Hillcrest boys basketball team was able to take advantage of the foul troubled the Underwood Rockets were in as it kept pace in the Little Eight Conference with a 66-36 win Thursday.
"We had a strong start to the game, our defense was very effective: however, we didn't finish the opportunities that could of kept us in the game," Rockets' coach Jesse Arbuckle said. "Some untimely, fouls found us trailing by 18 at the half. Hillcrest played a nice second half, and it was too much for us to overcome."
Hillcrest was led offensively by Jake Isaac with 21 points, while Daniel Nersten chipped in 18 of his own in the win.
Matt Biegler led the Rockets with 14 points and 10 boards, while teammate Adam Creek was in double figures with 10 points.
